本アルバムは英国の女性作曲家レベッカ・クラーク（1886-1979）の「歌曲全集」をうたう初の録音で、未刊のままだった歌曲の世界初録音を多数収録しています。メゾ・ソプラノのキティ・ウェイトリー、テノールのニコラス・ファン、ピアノのアンナ・ティルブルックが結集し、クラーク全歌曲の全体像を提示します。
ゲストとしてマックス・ベイリーやロデリック・ウィリアムズ、グウェネス・アン・ランド、さらにシアトル室内楽協会のメンバーが参加。《The Seal Man》《Binnorie》ではクラークが愛したヴィオラを前面に置く新編曲が披露され、作曲家の音色感覚が鮮やかに浮かび上がります。
